Mark Sanford Repeatedly Asked Wife Could He Continue Cheating on Her

When the shit hits the political fan it really splats on the walls. The wife of South Carolina governor Mark Sanford sat down with the Associated Press to talk about his recent infidelity scandal and what she knew prior to it coming to light.

Jenny Sanford stated that her husband wanted to continue to see his lover even after she found out about it. She stated that her husband repeatedly asked her could he visit his lover.

"I said absolutely not. It's one thing to forgive adultery; it's another thing to condone it," Jenny Sanford told The Associated Press during a 20-minute interview at the coastal home where she sought refuge with their four sons. They were her first extended comments on the affair.

She said that when her husband, Gov. Mark Sanford, inexplicably disappeared last week, she hoped he was hiking on the Appalachian Trail, as his staff told those who inquired about his absence. That he had dared to go to Argentina to see the other woman left her stunned.

So even after he got caught cheating, and even after his wife told him to leave this woman alone, he decides to sneak out of the country during Father's Day weekend to get his rocks off. Basically saying screw my wife and four sons, so I can go screw this chick in South America. This really leaves a bad taste in mouth about this man's character.

"He was told in no uncertain terms not to see her," she said in a strong, steady voice. "I was hoping he was on the Appalachian Trail. But I was not worried about his safety. I was hoping he was doing some real soul searching somewhere and was devastated to find out it was Argentina. It's tragic."
This interview along with his already known actions of infidelity has to put the final nail in his political coffin. I know conservatives want to get as far away from this guy as they possibly can.

Joe the Plumber Claims Founding Fathers Hated Communism, Even Though They Were All Dead When it Began

While attending an event called "Pints and Politics" in Wisconsin, Joe Wurzelbacher spoke to fellow conservatives to decry the policies of president Barack Obama. He spoke more about his hatred for taxes on rich people even though it benefits him:

"Obama right now is talking about, he can generate more revenue by taxing the top 2 to 3 percent of Americans," Wurzelbacher said. "Well, you know, that's immoral. Just because someone's worked hard, gotten ahead -- it's not your money."
He also ranted about why Chris Dodd is still alive, "Why hasn't he been strung up?" he said.

The best part of of his speech was when he spoke about how this country has always fought against communism:

Referring to the Constitution as "almost like the Bible," Wurzelbacher said of the Founding Fathers: "They knew socialism doesn't work. They knew communism doesn't work."

The only problem with that statement was that the founding fathers were all dead when the birth of communism began in 1917.

Limbaugh: "Obama Drove Mark Sanford to Cheat"

Will there ever be one time when Rush Limbaugh ever criticizes a republican without including a democrat in his bashing?

On his radio program today, Limbaugh suggested that the governor of South Carolina Mark Sanford was driven to infidelity during his recent disappearance by president Obama because Sanford was fed up with the president's policies.

Somehow suggesting that Obama and the democrats are making conservatives frustrated to the point of giving up what they believe to live life before Obama ends everything that is good about America.

I often criticize liberal voices who say idiotic things. I call out folks like Olbermann and others anytime they show their immaturity and idiocy by opening their mouths. I wonder if and ever a conservative will truly come out and condemn Limbaugh for the things he says and have the guts to stick with what they day.

Michele Bachman Compares Current Census to Japanese Internment Camps During World War II

The always entertaining and always good for a quote or two, Congresswoman Michele Bachman spoke with Fox News today to speak out against the upcoming Census.

She along with other conservatives are on some mission to take down ACORN.

She believes ACORN has some exclusive rights to run the Census and will somehow help the Obama administration in their attempts of placing the GOP in internment camps like the Japanese in World War II.

Although it's not the first time they have made this mistake.

Mark Sanford Political Career Should Be Dead, But Not Because He Cheated

While many on the conservative right have written off Gov. Mark Sanford because he has now admitted to having an extramarital affair, I personally don't think that's why he should resign and no longer be involved in politics.

Honestly what people do behind close doors is there business. There are things I do in my personal life other people might look down on. Profanity at times, drinking alcohol etc..... But as long as I do my job at work, my employer can care less.

While a politician is held to higher standards of course, I think as long as a person fulfills his or her duty in elected office he or she has done their job.

What I think should put a nail in his political coffin is the fact that his office whether through him on their own doing lied to his constituents about his whereabouts. Also the man used a taxpayer funded vehicle to drive to the airport to have his international affair.

Basically if he had not gotten caught this time he would have continued to lie and use taxpayers money to fund his affair. When you lie and deceive the very people who voted for you, then the hammer should drop.

Have your affair it's your business, but don't lie to me and don't use taxpayer dollars to commit adultery. When you are caught lying to the people you can never be trusted to serve the people's interest again. It's just the price you pay.

Deaths of Jews Obama & Bush Responsible for 0 Hitler 6+ Million

Can we please stop insulting families of the Jews who suffered indescribable torture orchestrated at the hands of one of the worst mass murderers in this planet's history by comparing Hitler with the policies that Barack Obama and democrats are instilling.

That's what REPUBLICAN WOMEN OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY are doing with their campaign against Obama's attempt at health care reform (or as the right calls it Obamacare).

I understand opposition towards policies, I had to deal with those of George W. Bush's for eight years. The one thing I did not do was compare him to Hitler or Satan or any other symbol of evil like some far-left people and organizations have.

Now it seems that some conservatives who claim to be the biggest supporters of Israel continue to insult the very people they claim to support by saying policies of Obama equal the murder and torture of millions people.

Are we children who throw insults around and don't know what they mean?

Let's debate, not hate.

Bullet Fees?

I have traveled overseas a few times and always love to visit, but there is no place like home. I know here at home it may not always be perfect but will never be as bad as other places.

Take whats happening over in Iran right now. Civil unrest, people being killed because they choose to protest. Imagine if your love one was killed in the violence and you had to deal with this:
"Upon learning of his son's death, the elder Mr. Alipour was told the family had to pay an equivalent of $3,000 as a "bullet fee"—a fee for the bullet used by security forces—before taking the body back," relatives purportedly told the Journal.

Mr. Alipour told officials that his entire possessions wouldn't amount to $3,000, arguing they should waive the fee because he is a veteran of the Iran-Iraq war. According to relatives, morgue officials finally agreed, but demanded that the family do no funeral or burial in Tehran. Kaveh Alipour's body was quietly transported to the city of Rasht, where there is family.

Everyone in the neighborhood knows the Alipour family. In addition to their slain son, they have two daughters. Shopkeepers and businesses pasted a photocopied picture of Mr. Alipour on their walls and windows. In the picture, the young man is shown wearing a dark suit with gray stripes. His black hair is combed neatly to a side and he has a half-smile.

"He was so full of life. He had so many dreams," said Arsalan, a taxi driver who knew the family was quoted as saying. "What did he die for?"

I don't know what I would do if the government who killed my son told me I had to pay for the bullets that were fired from their guns and penetrated the body of his. It would probably have to be the hand of God to restrain me from doing something I normally would never even think of.

Where in the World is Governor Mark Sanford?

Not much going on in the world of politics today. The only thing that really stuck out to me was a strange story circulating around about the governor of South Carolina, Mark Sanford. He apparently has been missing since Thursday. That it itself is weird but the response from his wife is even weirder:

The whereabouts of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford (R) "have been unknown to state officials since Thursday, and some state leaders are questioning who is in charge of the executive office," reports the Columbia State.

"Neither the governor's office nor the State Law Enforcement Division has been able to reach Sanford, who left the mansion in a black SLED Suburban SUV."

"Sanford's last known whereabouts were near Atlanta, where a mobile telephone tower picked up a signal from his phone, authorities said."

According to WCBD-TV, the First Lady said he "has been gone for several days and she doesn't know where, but she is not concerned."

No one has been able to reach the man, not even his wife and she is not concerned? I hope everything is okay with the governor, but maybe someone should question Mrs. Sanford a little further.

UPDATE:

The Lt. Governor is not taking the governor's absence lightly at all:

"I cannot take lightly that his staff has not had communication with him for more than four days, and that no one, including his own family, knows his whereabouts," said Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer. Bauer said he'd been rebuffed by the governor's staff when he tried to find out where Sanford was.

The governor's spokesman Joel Sawyer is saying that the governor left town Thursday with plans with plans to hike the trail, which passes through 14 states but doesn't cross South Carolina. Sawyer said he didn't know where exactly Sanford was along the 2,200-mile trail and declined to discuss Sanford's travel arrangements or who, if anyone, was hiking with him. The governor is expected back later this week.

"He's an avid outdoorsman," Sawyer said. "Nobody's ever accused our governor of being conventional."

Update 4: WOW! THE MAN COMES CLEAN AND FORWARD TO SAY HE WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY CHEATING ON HIS WIFE. HIS STAFF LIED TO COVER HIS ASS, HE'S CHEATING, HIS WIFE IS PISSED............OH BOY!

UPDATE 5: It's being reported that some e-mails between Sanford and the woman he was seeing has been recovered. The State.com has the story.

Update 6: Sanford's wife puts out a statement:

Statement from First Lady Jenny Sanford

I would like to start by saying I love my husband and I believe I have put forth every effort possible to be the best wife I can be during our almost twenty years of marriage. As well, for the last fifteen years my husband has been fully engaged in public service to the citizens and taxpayers of this state and I have faithfully supported him in those efforts to the best of my ability. I have been and remain proud of his accomplishments and his service to this state.

I personally believe that the greatest legacy I will leave behind in this world is not the job I held on Wall Street, or the campaigns I managed for Mark, or the work I have done as First Lady or even the philanthropic activities in which I have been routinely engaged. Instead, the greatest legacy I will leave in this world is the character of the children I, or we, leave behind. It is for that reason that I deeply regret the recent actions of my husband Mark, and their potential damage to our children.

I believe wholeheartedly in the sanctity, dignity and importance of the institution of marriage. I believe that has been consistently reflected in my actions. When I found out about my husband's infidelity I worked immediately to first seek reconciliation through forgiveness, and then to work diligently to repair our marriage. We reached a point where I felt it was important to look my sons in the eyes and maintain my dignity, self-respect, and my basic sense of right and wrong. I therefore asked my husband to leave two weeks ago.

This trial separation was agreed to with the goal of ultimately strengthening our marriage. During this short separation it was agreed that Mark would not contact us. I kept this separation quiet out of respect of his public office and reputation, and in hopes of keeping our children from just this type of public exposure. Because of this separation, I did not know where he was in the past week.

I believe enduring love is primarily a commitment and an act of will, and for a marriage to be successful, that commitment must be reciprocal. I believe Mark has earned a chance to resurrect our marriage.

Psalm 127 states that sons are a gift from the Lord and children a reward from Him. I will continue to pour my energy into raising our sons to be honorable young men. I remain willing to forgive Mark completely for his indiscretions and to welcome him back, in time, if he continues to work toward reconciliation with a true spirit of humility and repentance.

This is a very painful time for us and I would humbly request now that members of the media respect the privacy of my boys and me as we struggle together to continue on with our lives and as I seek the wisdom of Solomon, the strength and patience of Job and the grace of God in helping to heal my family.
